What Causes Recurring Cyst Near The Inside Of Vagina?
I ve had a reoccurring cyst near the inside of the hair line on the upper part of my vagina for over 5 years. I d usually go to the doctor to get it lanced and go about my day but the past 3 years I ve handled it myslef at home. Just the past few days I felt the knot coming back and I ve been waiting for it to come to a head. I went to the bathroom and noticed I was bleeding out of my clitoral hood. I squeezed a little and some, what seemed to be cyst fluid came out. Not enough to drain the knot. It s never come out that way. I was unaware anything could come OUT of this area. I do not have insurance so can I do something at home or should I go to a doc? Thanks.
Your symptoms seem to be related to Bartholin's cyst. I recommend to soak in warm water several times a day. In case that you feel pain or heat/warmth in that area, it indicates an infection, you should see a gynecologist for further evaluation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
