What Causes Recurring Eye Infections, Pricking Sensation When Blinked And Dry Eyes?
I have had a series of eye infections, at least 3. The first infection was in July then in August and currently have another one. When I first contracted the eye infection in August, I used an old bottle of eye drops (Epinastine HCI, 0.05%) I had, which has not expired yet. It helped some. 3 weeks later, I went to the doctor who prescribed, Erythromycin ophthalmic ointment usp 0.5% which I used 3 times a day. The infection went away and now I have it again and have started using the remainder of the above eye medicine. The symptoms include a feeling of gritty sand when I blink and redness and dry eye feeling as well as discharge that sticks the eye lids in the morning. Please help.
