What Causes Recurring Fatigue, Shortness Of Breath And Nausea Post A Broken Leg?

I was personally struck by a vehicle in December 2010, it knocked me to the ground and all I suffered was a broken leg and a messed up knee. However ever since the accident, I have battled chronic fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea and weakness. All of these symptoms come and go at different times. I have been to many many doctors and emergency rooms with no diagnosis. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Noted your history of an accident that caused fracture of leg ones and messed up knee, development of recurrent fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea and weakness.
Apparently these symptoms are not directly related to the fractures.
Anxiety and stress accompanied with such trauma can be one of the causes.
There can be specific cases like anemia or some general disease that are giving you the said symptoms.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult your Family Physician for a proper clinical evaluation and thus get investigated.
This will allow a proper diagnosis and gives a chance for cure.
Also see that you have changed lifestyle in such a way that there is no stress or anxiety.
Take symptomatic and supportive treatment for anything like anemia, hypoproteinemia and so on.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
