What Causes Recurring Fever, Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea In A Child?
Hi my 7 year old son has been having recurrent fevers over the last month. Night terrors are accompanying them. He s been complaining about his lower abdomen being gassy and painful, and he has been having diarrhea. I don t know if the fevers are related to the abdominal stuff. But the night terrors are definitely associated with the fevers. The night terrors last at least 10-15 min. He sits up, his eyes are completely open and he is screaming for me but he cannot see me. He says all kinds of things. but why would he be having repeated fevers? He doesn t otherwise really seem to be ill. He is always having stomach issues, gas, diarrhea, constipation, etc. Thank you for any help. Anna
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if it is the febrile condition since month and not being investigated then better to get done the routine tests that includes the blood test for infection urine test, x-ray tests this is the only option you have however the fever condition since one month is questionable, which is not diagnosed yet and not even treated, hope this information helps.
