Hello
Since your son is just 14 months and there are repeated episodes of such symptoms , may be due to allergy .
Allergy produces bronchoconstriction and this causes fever as well as cough ( as your son is having ).
When such patient visit my clinic I advise my patient to take some syrup containing salbutamol ( as it act as bronchodilator).
If fever present paracetamol 10 mg / kg body weight whenever require .
Usually there is no need of any antibiotics .
Steam also provide relief.
Hot coffee also act a soothing agent in such condition.
Still , no relief ,then consult another paediatrician and get his opinion.
