General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to chronic diverticulitis. Acute diverticulitis that has been successfully treated may come back again after some time. The risk of this happening is greater after having the complicated form. Acute diverticulitis is generally treated with antibiotics, and surgery was often recommended if it kept coming back. You should consult a surgeon for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
