What Causes Recurring Fever Even After Ibuprofen Intake?

My 6 year old has fevers that occur randomly for the past 4 days... We always treat with ibueprofen and it goes away and doesn t come back at the end of the 8 hours of effectiveness of the medicine. She has no other signs of an infection and is healthy otherwise. It is her first year of school and her whole class has been sick all year, and we have fought off several colds or flus on our own with over the counter meds. Any ideas?

Hi,
From history it seems that she might be having viral infection as her whole class are having same problem.
Do not send her to school for few days.
Give her plenty of water and liquids and keep her well hydrated.
Give her light diet.
Give her rest.
If fever continue then some blood work might required.
Ok and take care.
