What Causes Recurring Fever In An Infant Despite Administering Acetaminophen Suspension?
Hi Doctor, my son 1 yr 5 months is suffering from fever, which is coming and going from past 5 days we used Calpol 250 mg for fever and Taxim O for cold. He is still not recovered, we are at a place where we don t have child specialist doctor, so we consulted a near by RMP doctor who prescribed Re Breath (Ambroxol Hcl & Levocetrizine Hcl. Syrup) for cold, and A.C.125 (Acetaminophen Oral Suspension IP) for fever.. please confirm the prescription and suggest..

I appreciate your concern for son's health
Your son must be suffering from infection.it can be viral or bacterial.Viral infection takes two weeks to settle.
but you must add an antibiotic to the treatment regime to aid the recovery
the dosage is according to the weight of the baby
continue calpol.Add Augmentin ( amoxicillin + clavulanic acid) 325mg /5ml 1 TSF thrice daily for 5 days
Keep him healthy
