What Causes Recurring Fever Inspite Of Giving Motrin And Tylenol In Children?

My 4yrs old son has had a high fever for three days now; it has been as high as 103.5. We took him to the hospital when it was 103.5 on the first day. The doctors didnt frind any ear or sinus infection. Didnt hear anything in his lungs. They tested for flu and strep. He throat was a little red. Strep test result arent in yet. Two days later and his fever is still there, we are trying to keep it down with Motrin and Tylenol. A couple times we thought the fevers were gone, but hours later came back. His behavior is more hyper; talks alot, sometimes off the wall and ge is very loud. He does have congestion and is not sleeping well.
