What Causes Recurring Headache And Discomfort Right Eye?

I ve had an annoying headache for about a week now. It comes and goes within the week, with the help of ibuprofen. I have noticed that my right eye bothers me and in return I get bad headaches that stretch towards the back right of my head. What could be the cause of this? Please help. Thank you.

Hello,

Tension headaches commonly cause such symptoms. However, slipped disc, migraine, muscle strain or stress are conditions that can cause similar symptoms. For discomfort in the right eye you are suggested to consult an Eye specialist & get your vision checked. If vision is affected, it can be fixed with glasses or lens (bifocal, photochromatic, etc) that will reduce headaches & help you see better.

Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight, wear sunglasses when outdoors, stay well hydrated and always take food in time. For headache you can take Naproxen, one SOS when needed. Apply ice packs or cold compress. Take frequent breaks between work, maintain correct posture when sitting or in bed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
