What Causes Recurring Headaches Upon Change In Location?

58 year old male, 160 lb. moved to Vegas a month ago and has had 4 headaches that last about a day each. migraine medicine worked for the first one but the others are not responding. drinks plenty water. is there an allergy issue in vegas causing this? or is it just a coincidence and should have a physical examination?

Thank you for your query.

Would you please clarify a few things for me?
1) does the person in question have and medical illness or on any medications (for Diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, hyperlipidemia or thyroid)?
2) is this the first time that these types of headaches have occurred?
3) is there any vomiting/nausea or giddiness associated with this?
4)How much water is plenty of water? where was the move made from? ( where was he located before vegas)

Stress headaches can occur in clusters and these have an increased incidence after major changes in life and lifestyle.
If he has a normal (light/pale yellow) colour urine, and his tongue and throat are not dry and is perfectly fine (except for when he has the headaches), the dehydration seems to be unlikely.

Allergies result in inflammation and increased secretions in the respiratory tract(nose, sinuses, trachea, lungs) that can collect and get infedted leading to lung sinusitis or pneumonia.

The sinuses are paired (mostly)air pocket in our face that help to regulate voice. when these get inflamed and infected, it usually results in a severe headache ( on the side of the affected sinus) and tenderness over the sinus. it is usually accompanied by a fever and will need antibiotics to treat it.

Certain medications and health conditions like hypertension or heart disease, anti diabetic medication may cause headache, giddiness, tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
I recommend you see his physician to rule out any serious causes. If it is an allergic reaction , he could take medication that would ease up his symptoms.
If in the meantime, severe headache, vomiting, giddiness, chest pain, unexplained profuse sweating or sudden onset of digestive symptoms ( like bloating, indigestion, stomach pain) occurs, a visit to the ER is mandated.

Please be on the look out for subtle yet persistent symptoms and jot down the frequency, triggers and duration of its occurrence. will help to narrow down the cause.
hope this helps.
wish you good health and let us know if you have further questions
