What Causes Recurring Headaches With Heaviness In One Side Of Head?

Well I am having fleeting headaches which last for few seconds and goes off. Sometimes left side of face feels slightly heavier with a very dull pain right from the ear to jaw. This has happened a fortnight ago and today am feeling similar. I have a sinous problem and take amlopress AT and my pressure is normally 110/70. I also take thyroxin 50 for thyroid.
Do I need to have a neurological check up. N
My cardiac parameters are normal. And I do have IBS problem too due to my touring job and eating out while on tour.
Please advise

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have recurring headaches with heaviness in one side of head is due to facial nerve paralysis. Facial pain from right ear to jaw is probably due to bell's palsy . Bell's palsy is a condition that causes temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles in one side of the face. I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper diagnosis and rule out condition like diabetic neuropathy and trigeminal neuroptahy . Doctor may conduct various test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe myscle relaxant or anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend physical therapy , massage or light muscle exercise .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Take a good care of your health. Get Well soon.
