What Causes Recurring Heart Palpitations, Tingling Sensation In Fingers And Shoulder Pain?

I know I m stressed, but I have random heart palpatations and tingling in my fingers. It usually occurs when I m resting or sitting. I have headache and neck and shoulder pain. Is it anxiety? I have Xanax just not sure if this could be heart related.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Palpitations in your case may be suggestive of any arrhythmias. So get an ECG, 2D ECHO of your heart to confirm the diagnosis. Also, get a lipid profile, complete blood picture, hs CRP to assess the risk of heart disease. Get your BP and heart rate checked immediately. Drugs like Metoprolol can be helpful in your case. If palpitations occur along with dizziness, chest pain report to your doctor immediately. Take low salt high protein diet. Consult your cardiologist for expert management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
