What Causes Recurring Impaired Peripheral Vision And Impaired Thoughts?
Yesterday at work (I work for a bank) I forgot....flew right out of my head how to look up and complete a fairly routine transaction on my computer. I am 52 and in good health. I was muddled for probably at least 30 minutes. Today I went to the grocery store and my vision was weird....on my peripheral vision it was wavy and spotty in a circle right outside my line of vision and this lasted about 45 minutes and then I got a headache. I took Advil and it went away and for the rest of the day I have felt fine. Kind of unnerved by it all. Should I go to the doctor
Yes - you should go into the doctor now. These episodes could be transient ischemic attacks, similar to a stroke. There other possible causes too, such as a type of migraine headache or a type of seizure disorder. But you should not wait - go in to be seen.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bonnie Berger-Durnbaugh, General & Family Physician
