What Causes Recurring Loss Of Vision For A Brief Moment In A Child?

Hi, my 9 year old son looses his sight for a few seconds every now and then. It just goes black for a few seconds and then comes back as normal. He does experience headaches maybe 2 or 3 times one week, once another week, not sure if he goes a week without any. He has mood swings. I am taking him to the doctors tomorrow but thought will get your oppinion today. Thank you Leanne

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult a pediatrician and get evaluated. You have to get an MRI scan to rule out intracranial causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
