Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Shingles generally recover in 3-5 week.
But main problem is re occurrence.
Complication are
1. Secondary bacterial infection
2. Motor involvement, including weakness especially in "motor herpes zoster"
3. Postherpetic neuralgia

Initially treatment:
1. Anti viral medication:Acyclovir
2. Pain medication: acetaminophen
3. You can use following Topical treatment
- Neosporine ointment
- Calamine lotion
- Capsaicin cream

If pain not relieved after month you shold start following treatment after consulting doctor
Antidepressant: Amitryptaline
Topical anesthetic: Benzocaine or lidocaine
Opioids and caffeine can be used.

Cool water bath
Wet compression also helpful
Hope this may help you.
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
