What Causes Recurring Menses Within A Week With Heavy Clots?

Hi...i started having my period on the 18 of january and ended on the 24...after 2 days i began spotting for 5 days and started bleeding again this time passing out dark red blood cloths..am also experincing discomfort on my left leg and lower back...is this cause for concern???
