What Causes Recurring Nail Lifting?

Hello my 3 year daughters, thumb nail was detached from the cuticle than the nail came off and was attached slightly, there was a new nail growing underneath. On her forefinger the nail has gone partly white and is not attached to nail bed. I m really worried.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that she might be having habit of chewing of fingers producing this problem.
Another possibility of having fungal infection of nails.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
After proper examination plan of treatment can be decided.
Meanwhile clean the nails properly and apply antibiotic cream locally.
Ok and take care.
