What Causes Recurring Nausea And Anxiety In A Teenage Boy?

My son, 16 years old, have been having nausea every morning for more than two weeks, he also has anxiety, which he had professional help. Since he was little, about 3 years old, he would be nauseated just by looking at somebody that has put something in their mouth or if he was eating. Hard for him to have lunch at school. When I was pregnant with him, I had mornig sickness for the 6 first months. I wonder if it could be something else than his anxiety the cause of his nausea?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to anxiety.

For that he may require counseling after psychiatrist consultation.

He may require short course of tablet clonazepam after consultation.

He can take tablet ondensetron for nausea.

Keep him stress free.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
