What Causes Recurring Numbness And Pain In Fingers?

Hi, I have numbness in my fingers and some times pain. It comes and goes but is worse in the mornings. Is this carpel tunnel and if i have the operation to relieve the pressure on the nerves will i loose strenhgt in my wrists. My hobbies and my job require using my strong wrists

Hello,

It could be due to peripheral neuropathy of nerve supplying that area. Your neurological examination, blood sugar estimation, serun TSH estimation, x ray, sgpt should be done for primary work up.

According to cause treatment done. If it due to median nerve compression than treatment can be done, usually function of wrist not compromised in such operation.
