What Causes Recurring Numbness And Tingling In Thighs, Arm And Face?

Hello, about an hour ago a part of my left outer thigh went numb, complete loss of sensation surrounded by tingling. Now I feel similar to how that felt on my arm and face. I have type 1 diabetes and insulin pump but I m also working little sleep. If the arm or face doesn t go completely numb, when should I go to a hospital? I don t have insurance. What are my possibilities? Not just the worst please

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

If it is all on one side of your body then you will have to report to the ER now, not later, but now. But if it on different sides, and in different parts of your body then it could be linked to diabetic neuropathy which could very well be the primary cause for such a situation. Check with your doctor to help better control your blood glucose, as poor control could be the primary cause for such a presentation.

Best wishes.
