What Causes Recurring Outbreak Of Rashes All Over The Body?
Yes Thank you. My friend travelled to Mexico and when she came back she had a rash on various part of her body that look like tracks. She had tried various creams and gone to different doctors but she has not gotten rid of it in two years. It goes away for awhile but whenever she exercises they rise to her skin again. People thinks she s crazy but she is a nurse and she absolutely feels that some type of bacteria is living inside of her. Any ideas as to what this could be?
Is there any itching of the rash? Are these lesions elevated, like a wheal? Anyhow, this can not be caused by a bacteria. From your description, this seems to be recurring urticarial rash, but we need few more details as mentioned above. In such cases, we have to do few investigations to rule out secondary causes like lupus, autoimmunity or viral infections. If no underlying cause is found, this is taken as idiopathic urticaria, and need antihistamines only during flare ups. Kindly discuss with a dermatologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
