What Causes Recurring Pain In Chest Around The Breast?
I am a 26 year old female. I am at a healthy weight. Lately I have been getting chest pains around the upper left breast. It usually happens after eating, its not constantly there. And I wouldn t describe it really as a sharp pain, but more like someone is pressing their thumb on the inside of me. It hurts. Any information
Hello and welcome to HCM, Pain in chest after eating food is suggestive of some disorder of esophagus or stomach. The pain may be due to gastro-esophageal reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus. The gastro-esophageal reflux often leads to pain in chest. I suggest you to consult a gastroenterologist for clinical assessment and an upper gastrointestinal tract endoscopy if clinically reflux is indicated. Often gastritis, gastric ulcers are also associated with pain in chest. The pain is likely to be associated with breast, chest or respiratory system since the pain has an association with swallowing of food.
