What Causes Recurring Pain In Chest Radiating To Ribcage And Upper Back?
Hello. My name is Kim. I ve been having some chest pain that radiates to the ribcage and upper back. This has been going on for about a week. Sometimes, when I take a deep breath, it causes pain. Any idea what might be going on? And also, sometimes when I m sitting, I get flashes of pain. It s a constant ache.
It seems like a pinched nerve, most probably the one deriving from the spinal cord. However, we should rule out other organic issues first. As the pain has been going on for 1 week now, need further investigations.
So please, run:
- abdominal ultrasound
- chest X-ray
Discuss this further with your caring doctor first.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
