What Causes Recurring Pain In Ear And Throat?

Hello Doctor Early last week I was experiencing some pain in my right ear, along with pain in my throat and headaches from time to time. I took some ibuprofen for a few days and the pain seemed to go away. Yesterday the pain started to come back though and now the pain in my ear was in both ears. I also have been really tired lately and have no energy. I do not know if all of this is related. Thank you and have a great day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to a cold or flu.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.
I also suggest using antibiotic ear drops for local application.
I suggest to drink liquids and gargle with salty water.
The symptoms should relieve in a few days.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
