What Causes Recurring Pain In Groin After Taking Thyroid Energy Supplement?

Around a month ago, I started taking a supplement put out by NOW called Thyroid Energy. I really like the supplement. It made me feel better and not hungry all the time. I started losing weight, which was great. However, I started experiencing pain in my groin on the right side. Pushing to use the bathroom made it feel worse. Then it moved to the other side as well, but not as bad. I quit taking the supplement and the pain as gotten better but I still feel something now and then. How concerned should I be?

Hi

Pain in groin, increasing on straining at motion can suggest an inguinal hernia. Such pain can increase during coughing also.

I do not think it is related to the supplement. It will be fine if you could get it examined with your doctor once.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK
