What Causes Recurring Pain On And Around The Groin?

For a while now I ve been getting this random, brief pain on my groin, and it s randomly on either the left or right side. For example, yesterday I felt a brief pain on the right side of my groin, and today it was on the left. The duration ranges from a few seconds up to a minute or so. It s not very painful, but definitely noticeable. I don t recall it appearing more than once a day, and it doesn t necessarily happen daily. It might appear, and then take 2-3 days to re-appear. What does this mean?
