What Causes Recurring Pain On Left Side Of Face And Scalp?

once or twice a year i get pain on the roof of my mouth and the left side of my face hurts and the left side of my scalp hurts. I get blisters on the roof of my mouth only on the left side. It some times hurts to chew food due to my teeth hurting on the left side of my mouth. Is there an idea of what the heck this is ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that there is a large area that is painful and it seems to be involving almost the entire left side of face and it can be related to a number of causes like Nerve related disorders supplying the face like Trigeminal nerve, it can also be due to jaw joint problem known as Temporomandibular joint, while can also be due to sinusitis..
The blisters over roof of mouth seems to be due to allergic reaction or oral infection.
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can advise you to get an MRI Scan done along with x ray and blood investigations to rule out the exact cause of the problem and treat you accordingly..
You can also do warm saline gargles and take anti allergics like benadryl for the blisters..
Take Ibuprofen for pain relief..
Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
