Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my son keeps getting purple dots that look like tiny burst blood vessels on his ear lobes I first noticed he was getting them when he would have a viral infection accompanied by an irritating cough, but I ve just noticed them again now and his health is fine! Could they be caused by crying or a temper tantrum? Tamaran.
Sudden increases in blood pressure due to violent coughing, powerful sneezing, heavy lifting, or even intense laughing may generate enough force to cause a small blood vessel like the ones on ear lobe to burst.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Ahmad Nazzal
