What Causes Recurring Pus Filled Boil On The Vagina?
Alright, so I have a reaccuring boil towards the base of my vagina. It s been happening for months and it s kinda painful. It eventually goes away after a week or too but puss and stuff comes out of it sometimes. I am in good health. Just trying to figure out what s going on.
I have read your question completely and understand your concerns
Vaginal cysts are common. Common types of cyst are Inclusion cysts which occur due to some break in skin/ minor trauma. Other types of cysts are Bartholin gland cysts, Gartner duct cysts etc. Mostly these cysts are painless and regress on their own.
As in your condition, sometimes the cyst is recurrent. One option is to treat with antibiotics as and when the cyst occurs. Another option is to undergo a small surgical procedure called Marsupilization where a small incision is given in the cyst and the fluid is allowed to drain out. The edges of cyst are stitched outwards so that the fluid does not accumulate.
Last option is to get the cyst fully removed.
I would advise you to see your doctor for an assessment and examination and to discuss the further management.
I hope this answer has helped you.
Thank you
