What Causes Recurring Pus Filled Sores On Stretch Marks Of Inner Thigh?

Hi,so I sometimes get these odd pimple looking sores on my stretch marks on my inner thigh , I noticed today that one had gotten inflamed as well as having a giant head. I started looking closer and noticed it wasn t a pimple. It was filled with puss and I barely touched it and it busted open. I have no idea what these are ,what causes it,and above all,how to treat it. Any advice?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicles. I suggest using hydrogen peroxide to clean the area. I also suggest using Neosporin cream for local application.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
