What Causes Recurring Sharp Pain In Right Hand?

2 days ago my R hand started having these sharp pains that last about 5 - 10 sec and returns Q 10 -15 minutes sometimes. Then sometimes it will go away for about an hr of 2 4 it returns. It will wake me when I fall asleep I have to shake or massage the pain away,

Hi,

It can be due to nerve compression syndromes like carpal tunnel syndrome. A nerve conduction study will be helpful to rule out this. Splinting the hand while sleeping will be helpful. Avoid exposing to cold also.
