Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. I have severe pain in my thigh ( about 2-4 inches above my knee ) cant weight bear hardly at all. I had a knee revision on that same leg 3 weeks ago, and I have not had any pain until about a week ago. However, I had this pain BEFORE my knee revision ...So, my Ortho Surgeon went in..made sure things were secure..changed liner..and I felt great until I went back to work. ( I work at a hospital ) pain pills, anti inflammatory meds do not make a dent in the pain. When I am off my leg..I have no pain. When I walk, its so sharp, it stops me in my tracks. We have R/O fracture ( because it is that intense ) and I have had a . bone scan.. ( no infection ). Who do I go to for help/answers ? Thanks for anything you can offer or suggest.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, musculoskeletal pain is likely and some time it may not have any specific reason at the most you can go for MRI of spine to rule out the degenerative disease of disc, try to maintain good posture, physiotherapy may helps and it is worth trying hope this information helps.
