What Causes Recurring Skin Dryness And Scabbing On Knuckles?

I have asked several doctors about this over the years...never an answer other than dry skin Every couple of months, I get sores on the knuckles of my hands. Skin is lost and scabs develop. extremely symmetrical on both hands. this seems odd to me but not to physicians I have seen.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi,
Thanks for writing to hcm.
kindly consult a dermatologist regarding the skin condition.
Sometimes dry skin occurs due to weather conditions during dry climate.
Use a good hydrating moisturiser and an emollient to keep the skin soft and hydrated.
The dermatologist shall examine and rule out other causes like psoriasis and allergic dermatitis.

Regards
Dr.Riyanka
