What Causes Recurring Spider Bite Like Spots On Buttocks?

For a number of years my husband keeps getting something like a spider bite on his backside (butt). It would start as a blister appearance. It would itch and hurt. I would put hydrocortizone 2.5 on it. He said that it does help relieve it. The blister area, though, gets real deep red and looks to start drying up. But it it continues to pop up with new spots within a 3inch radius of another one. And it continues to break out every now and then. What do you think? I think it s shingles.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I feel your husband needs oral medicines along with local treatment. The exact type of lesion needs to be examined and specific antibiotic, anti-fungal or anti-inflammatory medicines need to be given as per need.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
