I have this recurring spot on the center inside of my left cheek. When i spotted this maybe less than 5 years ago it started as a small black dot like a birthmark almost. Then it dissapeared on its itown. Then i noticed it came back again long after the first appearance although it was a little bigger bigger this time.i didnt make much of it because then dissapeared as well...and today as i was brushimg my teeth i noticed it appear again on the same spot but this time its like dark red. Its been a long time since i noticed this again..Theres no pain or anything but i am still concerned of what this could possibly be?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC...

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems to be a Recurring Mucocele which is formed due to clogged duct of a minor salivary gland or the gland itself or due to rupture of the duct of the minor salivary gland..

It is a painless and harmless condition and is known as MUCOCELE..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and in case of Mucocele many a times if they are small no treatment is needed and they get resolved on their own but in case of persisting or large Mucocele you can get it removed surgically along with the clogged gland..
Small cysts can also be removed by Laser ablation..

As of now you can start gargling with a concentrated salt solution as it helps in regression of the mucocele..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
