What Causes Recurring Spotting And Cramps While On Nuva Ring?

I m on nuva ring and have been for about a year now. The past 5 weeks I ve bled small amounts off and on but have had constant brown discharge. No idea why. Some cramping off and on but just like period cramping. I did skip over and go from 4wks of nuva ring to another ring so I wouldn t have a period. Usually I ll spot a little and it s done. This time all this discharge.

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. This menstrual disturbance you have been experiencing is in all probability, due to the hormone effect caused by the insertion of a different device. However, I would ask you to have a proper clinical evaluation to plan further management. You may need a course of progesterone to help out. Styptics are also useful. Hope I have answered your query. Wish you good health.
