What Causes Recurring Swelling In Eye Lid In The Morning?

My left eyelid swelled up over night. This happened before but I thought it was due to dryness. I had dry flakey skin previously and some moisturizer seemed to help. I went to bed last night and my eye was fine and this morning it just seemed to swell up. What could this be?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having recurring swelling of eyelid in the morning. This can be because of causes in the eye like conjunctivitis and other inflammations which will have complaints like pain, redness along with swelling.
Painless swelling of the eyelids are usually caused by systemic causes like anemia, renal and hear diseases.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
