What Causes Recurring Tightness In The Chest With Pain In The Upper Palate?
Over the past 2-3 years, I occasionally have a tightness in my chest with pain running into the roof of my mouth and even my ears. It often happens when I eat. It may hurt several days in a row then be gone for months. I don't think it is a heart attack because considering how often it happens, I would be dead! I'm not sure what type of specialist I should see. I am a type II diabetic.
Detailed answer - As per your query you have symptoms of tightness in chest along with pain running to mouth, ears and you are diabetic as well which is due to narrowing of arteries or occlusion of vertebral artery due to which circle of wills gets affected and it reduces blood supply to all these areas and these symptoms occurs.
i would suggest you to visit neurologist once and go for blood tests such as CBC, ESR, blood chemistry, clotting and lipid profile. You can go to Specialist neurological intensive care and go for electrocardiograph and cerebral angiography. On the basis of level of occlusion treatment will get started.
Angioplasty is first line of treatment option as per your symptoms.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry maheshwari
