Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I've been having tiny bumps on my lip line . Some of them have a tiny black center and others have a white color. When I popped a few they left a scar . They also keep coming back after being popped maybe a few cm from the initial one I popped . What could this be?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that small bumps on the lips seems to be due to conditions like Viral infection caused by Herpes virus leading to cold sores.. It can also be due to allergic reaction to some unknown allergens.. I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and can also advise investigations like microscopic examination of scraping from the lesion, Blood tests etc to rule out the cause and treatment can be done accordingly.. You can be advised antiviral medication for virual infection like Acyclovir.. Anti allergics can be given for allergies..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
