What Causes Recurring Tonsillitis?

I suffer from tonsils frequeny between 3-4 months and it does not recover until i take strong antibiotics for almost 2 weeks. I do not intake any kind of spicy food neither cold drinks nor alcohol. I do not smoke. I want to know why m i suffering frequently and is this the symptom for tonsil cancer

Hi,
It seems that you might be having chronic follicular tonsillitis where there is a focus of infection in tonsillar fossa which gives recurrence of tonsillitis.
In this condition consult ENT specialist and if he gives opinion for tonsillectomy, go for it.
