What Causes Recurring Welts In Groin?

I have a welt about the size of half an egg, in my crotch area where the elastic of my under pants is. I ve had small welts before when my undies get twisted or too tight but they have always gone away. About a month ago I got a small welt, it went away...then about a week ago, after sitting at my computer for many hours I noticed some discomfort, checked myself & discovered this larger half egg size & shape, that has not gone away, is not getting larger but is still there. I know I should go to the doctors, haven t been to one in over 30 yrs, any problems I have had go away by themselves, I m afraid of doctors! They always want to draw blood & I m deathly afraid of needles. Please tell me what this may be. Thank you, Sherrie Nichols

Well come to HCM
If the swelling is not painful then this is nothing to worry, you need to keep this under observation and any symptoms
in case of pain this can be managed with "Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day
To know the exact cause of swelling may need some investigation if this does not subside on its own,
Chances of allergic disorder may be likely
