What Causes Recurring White Flakes Inside The Ears?
I am a 52 year old male. for the past year or so, I have been getting white flakes inside my ears. After I take the flakes out with my finger, they appear again a couple of hours later. I dont believe its ear wax because the flakes are white and lite. Thank you... Joe
As per your query you have recurring white flakes inside the ears . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like seborrheic dermatitis , allergic reaction (fragrances, shampoos, lotions or any other substances you use around your ears ) and dandruff- , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to dandruff . I would suggest you to avoid any cosmetic product and apply moisturizer in your ear like petroleum jelly . Also do not scratch your ear with nails , that may cause infection or bleeding . If condition doesn't get well then consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe anti fungal ( fluconazole ) .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
