What Causes Recurring White Peeling On The Head Of Penis?

Hi, i have a problem with my penis, everytime i slide my finger on the head of my penis, some white scrapings come off, and when i remove all of them , after a day they reform, i heard its balanits and i used chlorotrimazole to treat it . At first it was also itchy and there were more white scrapings, but after the chlorotrimazole the itchyness has gone away but i still have the white scrapings. Is there a way to treat that without going to the doctor?

Hi

Smegma is a white or yellow substance composed of shed epithelial cells (dead skin) and sebum produced by the sebaceous glands of male and female genitalia.

It is a normal phenomenon and can be removed by regular cleaning of the genitalia.Otherwise buildup of smegma can lead to fungal infections or balanitis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
