What Causes Red And Brown Spots Near Hair Follicles, Arms And Thighs?

I have a few red spots, but many brown spots on my skin, where the hair follicle starts, on my upper arms, and upper thighs. Sometimes there are tiny bumps and I would think they are pimples, but I m not sure how i can get rid or manage these spots. It s a little embarrassing because I have a fair skin tone.

From your description, I would consider the possibility of " pseudofolliculitis".

This occurs due to shaving / waxing when the hairs which should grow out pierces the skin back and can irritate the skin.

You can apply a cream containing Fusidic acid and beclomethasone for 3- 5 days after hair removal procedures.
