been sick for 3 days i have pus in my tonsil area and its read and enlarged, the right side side of my neck has the gland sticking out hard for me to eat and swaollow, went to urgent care told me it was a virus to just take motrin, my head also hurts from this...

yes tonsillitis is usually viral in nature.
take a pain killer like tylenol or ibuprofen after checking your dose.
you will need anitbiotics if you do not feel better in another 3 days.
