What Causes Red And Itchy Bumps On Buttocks?

I have had this rash for a couple of weeks on my butt, i think it is heat rash( slightly red bumps itches occasionally) . I have kept out of the sun, but it is still there. I also run cross country so I sweat a lot. Do you know when it will go away, or any tips to make it go away faster?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Welcome to HCM, I have gone through you query and understood your concerns, The excessive moisture is a perfect environment that many germs need to grow up, and you are saying that you sweat a lot, I recommend you wash the area and apply steroid cream to relieve the symptoms ( hydrocortisone or triamcinolone ) OTC 3 times a day until fully absorbed anyway I kindly suggest to wear fresh clothes/underwear choose the cotton one ( not nylon or synthetic fibers) drink enough fluids and keep your button dry as much as you can, I advice you to use in the daily basis a dry powder to absorb the excessive moisture
Please kindly rate if my advise has been helpful
Wishing you a good health
