What Causes Red And Itchy Bumps On Forehead And Cheeks?

cause of what seems to be allergic skin rash on face. sometimes face is completely clear. other times i develop bumps especially on forehead and cheeks that are red, itch and look awful. also, at the same time experience other allergy symptoms like post nasal drip, itchy eyes, runny nose. symptoms not as bad when in well air conditioned places. went to allergist who did complete blood work and allergy tests. took shots for two years which doesnt seem to help.

Hi

Well, all the symptoms that you are experiencing are pointing towards allergic reaction as itchy rashes, bumps that look red along with post nasal drip, itchy eyes, runny nose etc seems to be most probably due to allergic reaction. You should also once get checked for Sinus infection or Sinusitis. For now you can take anti allergic medicines like Levocetrizine, Benadryl, Fexofenadine etc.

Apply aloe vera gel over the face as it helps in soothing rashes and itching. Do cool compresses over the rashes and itchy skin. For postnasal drip, runny nose and itchy eyes you can do steam inhalations and also take anti allergy medicines. If you have congestion you can take decongestant nasal sprays like Otrivin. Avoid air conditioned atmosphere. Take warm foods and warm water.
