What Causes Red And Swollen Knuckle In Index Finger?

Good Morning, I am sitting at work and I just noticed that fist knuckle for my index finger on my right hand is very red and swollen. When I touch it, it feels bruised, however I do not recall any injury or trauma. Online says it could just be a bugbite. Do you have any insight?
