What Causes Red And Swollen Vagina After Having Unprotected Sex?

Hi, well recently me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex. We are both std free, however during penatration I started to feel pain. The next day my vagina was swollen, red and I had really thick discharged, also I experienced an odd smell. What could this be?

Hello,

You are suffering from some bacterial infection at vagina like Trichomoniasis. Trichomoniasis can be cured with antibiotics.

Your doctor may recommend metronidazole (Flagyl) or tinidazole (Tindamax).Make sure your sexual partners are properly tested and take the medication, too. Not having any symptoms doesn’t mean they don’t have the infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
